Equal Opportunities and Diversity
This programme has been designed managers or members of staff who want to understand more about equality and diversity, and to see how the principles integrate into their work.
Programme objectives
By the end of this programme, delegates will be able to:
- Explain what is meant by equal opportunities, with specific reference to The Equality Act 2010
- Recognise the impact of prejudices, stereotyping and discrimination
- Understand the main features of Equal Opportunities policies and the personal responsibilities within this
- Understand the principles of unconscious bias and develop ways of challenging personal thinking.
Further information
The programme will be built around the organisation’s equality, diversity and inclusion policy.
Teaching methods include video, quiz, syndicate discussions and tutor input.
